At Midwest Anxiety, our Therapist Network is made up of licensed mental health professionals who believe therapy should happen where life actually happens. Not just in an office.

Our Partners are the therapists who make up that network. They bring clinical expertise, real-world experience, and their own personalities, interests, and passions into the work they do. They provide support in homes, schools, medical offices, workplaces, community spaces, and other everyday environments where struggles often show up in real time.

This is what we mean by doing mental health differently.

Our Partners are independent clinicians who practice with autonomy, integrity, and creativity while sharing a common mission: to make mental health care more accessible, practical, collaborative, and connected to real life. Together, they form a Therapist Network that allows Midwest Anxiety to match clients with clinicians who understand the culture, pace, pressures, and experiences of the communities they serve.

Whether working with children, teens, adults, parents, athletes, musicians, students, healthcare professionals, or families, our Partners bring their unique backgrounds and experiences into their clinical work. That means therapy can feel more relevant, more personal, and more useful.

Midwest Anxiety is built around a multidisciplinary, network-based approach. Each client has a primary therapist, but they are also connected to something larger. Our Partners consult, collaborate, and support one another behind the scenes. When appropriate, they can also collaborate with other professionals in the client's life, including physicians, psychiatrists, schools, dentists, and other members of the broader community mental health network.

This gives clients access to the experience and perspective of an entire Therapist Network, not just one clinician working alone.

Our Partners have expertise in areas such as anxiety, OCD, ADHD, autism, learning disorders, emotional regulation, school refusal, depression, grief, trauma, family stress, life transitions, play therapy, perinatal mental health, sports performance, and psychological assessment.

They also bring a variety of clinical approaches to their work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, family-centered strategies, and behavioral interventions.

But no matter the approach, the relationship comes first.

Our therapists are clinically skilled, big-hearted, and genuinely enjoy what they do. We want you to feel comfortable, understood, challenged, supported, and accepted. We want you to like your therapist.

The skills we teach are not complicated or mysterious. They are practical tools you can learn, practice, and use in everyday life. But skills alone are not enough. Meaningful change happens when you trust the person helping you learn them.

At Midwest Anxiety, that connection matters most.

That’s why you get to choose your therapist.

Take a minute to explore our Therapist Network, get to know our Partners, and find the person who feels like the right fit for you. Because therapy should not feel cold, distant, or one-size-fits-all. It should feel real.

Randy Floyd, LSCSW
Clinical Level Therapist | Founder (In Person Community & Virtual)

Randy Floyd is the founder of Midwest Anxiety and a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) who is passionate about helping people live fuller, more confident lives. Known for his optimistic, practical approach, Randy helps individuals shift their attention from what they can’t do to what they can do. His work focuses on helping people move toward growth, resilience, and meaningful change rather than becoming stuck in fear, avoidance, or self-doubt.

Randy believes effective therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship. When people feel understood, supported, and respected, meaningful change becomes possible. He works to create an environment where individuals can be honest about their struggles while also recognizing their strengths, building confidence, and developing practical skills for facing challenges head-on.

A central part of Randy’s mission is changing the way people think about mental health. Too often, mental health services are viewed as something only for people who are “broken” or “mentally ill.” Randy believes mental health is much broader than that.

Everyone struggles.

Some people struggle more than others, but everyone experiences stress, fear, uncertainty, difficult emotions, setbacks, and challenging seasons of life. Randy believes caring for mental health should be viewed as a normal and positive part of living well—not something reserved only for times of crisis.

Through Midwest Anxiety, Randy is committed to making mental health care more accessible, practical, and connected to everyday life. His work focuses on helping people manage anxiety, regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, build resilience, and develop skills they can use outside of therapy.

Randy also believes therapy should extend beyond the traditional therapy office. This philosophy is at the heart of Midwest Anxiety’s approach to providing mental health care in the places where people actually live their lives—including homes, schools, medical and dental settings, community spaces, groups, and real-world activities.

Whether through individual therapy, group programs, community partnerships, or events, Randy’s goal is the same: to help people practice the skills they need in real life.

At the heart of Randy’s work is a simple belief: people are capable of more than they think. With the right support, practical tools, and a willingness to face difficult things, people can develop the confidence and resilience needed to keep moving forward.

If you see Randy around, don’t hesitate to say hello—or better yet, give him a fist bump.

You can also follow Randy and the Midwest Anxiety community on Instagram, Twitter/X, YouTube, and Facebook, where he shares encouragement, insights, and real conversations about life and mental health.

Larkin Fales, DSW, LMSW
Masters Level Therapist | Independent Contractor (Office, Community, Virtual)

Larkin Fales is a Licensed Master’s Level Social Worker and Doctor of Social Work with more than 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in school, community, and healthcare settings. Throughout her career, she has worked across four different school districts, gaining a broad understanding of the academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and family challenges that can affect mental health. Her experience also includes hospital social work, providing her with a well-rounded perspective on the many systems and circumstances that influence a person’s overall well-being.

Larkin believes therapy is most effective when it feels like a partnership. She sees herself as a teammate who walks alongside clients and families rather than someone who simply tells them what to do. Her goal is to meet people where they are, understand what matters most to them, and work together to identify realistic steps toward meaningful change. She believes clients and families are the experts in their own lives, and therapy should build on their strengths, experiences, and goals.

Her approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She works with clients to better understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and experiences while developing practical tools to manage challenges and move toward their therapeutic goals. She has particular experience working with anxiety, depression, school refusal, school-related concerns, parenting challenges, family dynamics, and the many emotional and behavioral issues that can arise during childhood and adolescence.

With extensive experience in schools, Larkin has a particular appreciation for the complex world children and families navigate. Academic expectations, friendships, family relationships, transitions, behavioral concerns, anxiety, and other stressors can all affect a child’s ability to feel successful and connected. She also understands that when a child is struggling, the entire family can be impacted. Her work with parents focuses on supporting caregivers while helping families develop greater understanding, communication, connection, and practical strategies for navigating difficult moments.

Larkin believes people do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Sometimes the first step is simply having someone who will listen, understand, and help make sense of what is happening. She strives to create a therapy environment that feels safe, supportive, honest, and free of judgment.

Above all, Larkin loves walking alongside children, adults, and families as they work toward the goals that matter to them. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating school challenges, working through family dynamics, or simply trying to find a better way forward, she believes meaningful change begins by meeting people where they are and taking the next step together.

She brings extensive clinical experience, specialized training, and a warm, collaborative approach to her work. Anna believes that therapy should be practical, meaningful, and focused on helping people build lives that reflect what matters most to them.

Anna specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), with particular interest and experience in health anxiety, excessive worry, panic, and anxiety-related avoidance. Her primary therapeutic approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT). She understands that emotional struggles can affect relationships, work, health, and overall quality of life. Her approach combines compassion, curiosity, and practical strategies that clients can apply in their everyday lives.

Anna believes that meaningful change begins with understanding ourselves and learning to respond to our internal experiences with greater openness and compassion. Rather than focusing solely on reducing symptoms, she helps clients reconnect with their values, develop confidence in their ability to handle life's challenges, and move toward the lives they want to live.

Outside of her clinical work, Anna enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, hiking, gardening, and exploring nature. She values connection, personal growth, and finding joy in everyday experiences.
