MWA Run Club

MWA Run Club

We’ll walk, jog, or run for about an hour. Everyone moves at their own pace. Some people will walk the whole time. Some will jog. Some might push themselves to run a little farther than they did the week before. It doesn’t matter how you do it — what matters is that you show up and keep moving.

Afterwards, we like to hang out for a bit. Sometimes the kids play in the park. Sometimes families grab something to eat at the Market. It’s relaxed, unstructured time where people can catch their breath, laugh a little, and enjoy being together.

Run Club is simply a group of families showing up for each other, encouraging one another, and discovering that we’re stronger than we sometimes think we are.

Storm Season

Storm Season

In Storm Season, we will talk about how storm anxiety works and why children can become so focused on “what if” weather scenarios. You will learn how to support your child without getting pulled into constant reassurance, accommodations, or avoidance behaviors that can keep the fear stuck in place.

We will introduce Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) strategies that help children gradually face their fears and build confidence in their ability to handle storms. Parents will learn how to stay calm, consistent, and supportive while encouraging their child to take small steps toward courage.

"Bad" Kids

"Bad" Kids

Many parents know the feeling — the meltdowns, the arguments, the refusal to follow directions, and the constant power struggles that can leave everyone in the family exhausted. Parenting a child who pushes limits can feel overwhelming, frustrating, and sometimes even isolating. Some days it can feel like you’re constantly putting out fires.

Join other parents of “Bad” Kids (I don’t call them that… you call them that) as we come together to talk honestly about these challenges and learn practical strategies for handling them more effectively. This group is designed for parents who are tired of the daily battles and are looking for a better way to respond to difficult behavior.

Anxious Kids = Anxious Parents

Anxious Kids = Anxious Parents

Does your child struggle with fears and worries, phobias, separation anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), or other anxiety-related challenges? Do you find yourself wanting to help your child push through these fears so they can become more confident, resilient, and independent?

Anxiety in children often affects the entire family. When a child is anxious, parents can begin to feel anxious too. Many parents describe feeling like they are constantly “walking on eggshells,” unsure of what might trigger their child’s distress or how to respond in a way that truly helps. Over time, this can leave parents feeling frustrated, exhausted, and even helpless.

If this sounds familiar, this group is for you.

Bedtime Wars

Bedtime Wars

If bedtime in your house feels like a nightly battle, you’re not alone. Many families struggle with children who resist going to bed, repeatedly leave their rooms, ask endless questions, or rely on parents to fall asleep. What begins as a simple bedtime routine can quickly turn into a frustrating cycle of negotiations, exhaustion, and inconsistent boundaries.

That’s exactly why we created Bedtime Wars.

In this group, we’ll talk honestly about the real challenges families face at bedtime—and yes, we’ll laugh about it a little too (because sometimes laughter is the only way to survive bedtime).

You’ll learn practical strategies for setting clear bedtime boundaries, building predictable evening routines, and helping your child learn how to settle down and fall asleep more independently. We’ll discuss how to handle the classic bedtime stall tactics, how to stay calm and consistent when your child pushes back, and how to create a bedtime structure that actually works.

Big Emotions

Big Emotions

The problem isn’t having feelings. Feelings are part of being human.

The tricky part is knowing what to do with those feelings—especially when they get really big. Sometimes emotions can take over before we even realize what’s happening. One minute everything is fine, and the next minute we’re yelling, shutting down, melting down, or feeling totally overwhelmed.

And sometimes… we just don’t feel like trying to handle them at all.

That’s where Big Emotions comes in!

In this group, kids will learn about the Zones of Regulation, a simple and fun way to understand what’s happening inside their bodies and minds when emotions start to rise. Kids will learn how to recognize when they are calm, when they are getting frustrated, when emotions are getting big, and what they can do to get themselves back in control.

Jam Session

Jam Session

Oh yeah, I’m in! 🎸🥁🎤 Let’s kick this off with a bluesy groove in A — I’ll lay down a rhythm:

🎸 Guitar riff (imagine this):
da-da DAA da-da DAA, wah-wah... chugga-chugga...
🥁 Drums join in:
boom-chick-BOOM-boom-chick!
🎤 Harmonica solo incoming...
Wheeeeee-ooo-WAH-wah-wahhhhhh!

Now it’s your turn — what are you bringing to the JAM SESSION?
Let’s build a wall of sound together! 🔥🎶

The Sex Talk

The Sex Talk

For many families, conversations about sex, relationships, and growing up can feel uncomfortable or awkward. Parents often worry about saying the wrong thing, sharing too much, or not knowing how to start the conversation at all. At the same time, teens are often getting information about sex from friends, social media, and the internet—sources that are not always accurate, healthy, or helpful.

That’s why it’s so important for parents to be the ones leading the conversation.

In this group, we help parents learn how to approach The Sex Talk in a way that is open, honest, and age-appropriate—without it feeling like a single uncomfortable lecture that everyone wants to escape. Instead, parents will learn how to turn the conversation into an ongoing dialogue that helps teens feel comfortable asking questions and thinking critically about relationships, boundaries, and responsibility.
