Socialize! Teens offers an exciting opportunity for teens ages 14–18 to connect, build confidence, and practice real-life social skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. This group is designed for teens who want to spend time with others, have fun in the community, and feel more comfortable interacting with peers.

Participants will take part in a variety of community outings and activities where they can hang out, laugh, and build friendships. From grabbing treats at Andy’s Frozen Custard, to attending local events, exploring fun spots around town, or simply spending time together, each outing creates opportunities to connect with others in a natural and enjoyable way.

Along the way, teens will practice important social and life skills such as starting conversations, building friendships, navigating group situations, and feeling more confident in social settings. The goal is not to force anyone to act a certain way, but to create a welcoming space where teens can be themselves while gradually becoming more comfortable connecting with others.

Whether you're naturally outgoing or someone who feels a little shy in social situations, there’s a place for you here. Socialize! Teens is all about creating a positive space where teens can grow, support each other, and have fun together.

Socialize! Teens is designed for teens ages 14–18 who want opportunities to connect with others, build friendships, and feel more comfortable in social settings. This group is ideal for teens who enjoy getting out in the community and participating in fun activities while practicing real-life social skills in a supportive and relaxed environment.

INSTRUCTOR

Randy Floyd, LSCSW, Founder, Clinical Level Therapist

Randy is the founder of Midwest Anxiety. He is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who is an optimist and passionate about helping people focus on what they can do rather than what they can't do. Randy believes building a strong therapeutic relationship and tapping into a person's strengths are the most essential components of the therapeutic experience. Randy is passionate about changing the way we do mental health. He is focused on making mental health normal, a positive experience. He is also adamant about doing mental health differently. Randy believes the "old ways" suggest mental health is for the "broken" or "mentally ill." Randy believes that "Everyone Struggles." Sure. Some people struggle more than others, but everyone struggles with something. CANCELLATION POLICY

We know life gets busy. If you are unable to participate in a session, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance and you will not be charged.
