Create the Life You Want to Live

Create the Life You Want to Live

Create the Life You Want to Live.png

No matter if you’re five or sixty five years old, are you living the life you want to live? There was a 1 in 400 trillion chance you were born exactly who you are. Regardless of your struggles, you’re awesome and still have time to get the most out of this OneLife you were given.

By focusing on what you can do, rather than what you can’t do, we’ll help you create the life you want to live. Whether you struggle with anxiety or depression, anger or frustration, parenting your young or adult child, or the simpler things like the madness of sitting through a red light, we’ll teach you Cognitive Behavioral skills to effectively manage your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. With a Cognitive Behavioral skillset, you’ll create the life you want rather than what the world wants of you. No matter your life circumstances, there is still time to live a fulfilled life. Contact us today to learn how to get started.

Doing Mental Health Differently

Midwest Anxiety is a community based program for children, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, and more generalized problems involving negative thoughts, feelings, or behaviors.  Unlike traditional office-based psychotherapy, we work with people in “real life” situations in their natural environments (home, school, sporting events, etc). Instead of coming to us in a stuffy office, we come visit you in your world. We believe this “hands on” approach gives us the best opportunity to see your strengths and help you overcome your struggles in the environments you live.

Our mobility also allows us to work with people in "real time."  No "see you in a couple weeks" for your next appointment.  We work in the moments (daily if needed) and in the environments of your struggles. Understanding in real time, in your natural environments, helps us implement step-by-step Cognitive Behavioral strategies to modify negative patterns as they arise.

We believe Everyone Struggles.  Some of us struggle more than others, but everyone struggles with something.  We are passionate about normalizing mental health by focusing on mental wellness, rather than mental illness.  It is not us vs. the "mentally ill."  It is all of us.  Like physical health, we all have mental health.  Our goal is to help you learn Cognitive Behavioral skills, inspire you to Just Be You, all while changing the way we talk and do mental health.  So grab a snack, put your feet up, and will be over soon to do mental health differently ;)

Our tees are all about the message. Put on a shirt and you'll see.  Rather its committing to living your OneLife in happiness or giving at least 1% because you know its better than giving 0%, the Tee is a constant reminder to you, your friends, and family to remain positive, hopeful, and loving life everyday.

We love the emotional, physical, and social benefits of running. We’ve joined Team Heartland of World Vision to run races while also raising money for clean water for children in Africa.

Why are we running with Team World Vision?  We believe in living a life beyond ourselves.  World Vision is the largest non-governmental provider of clean water in the world.  Last year, World Vision reached over 4.6 million new people with clean water.

Midwest Anxiety and World Vision have a shared vision of giving children the best opportunity to have the healthiest, happiest life possible.  Water changes the lives of children.  They have better health, nutrition, and can go to school instead of spending the day fetching water.
