Every school morning, you wake up hoping, maybe today will be a good day.
Maybe today your child will get up, get ready, and go to school without a fight.
But for parents of kids who struggle with school refusal, mornings often feel anything but calm. The entire tone of your day can depend on how your child wakes up. If your child is doing okay, you feel okay. If your child wakes up anxious, angry, refusing, or completely shut down, your whole morning can unravel in minutes.
Parents of school refusal kids know exactly what this feels like.
The dread.
The tension.
The constant question of What am I supposed to do right now?
Do you force your child into the car?
Do you threaten consequences?
Do you take away the iPad “forever”?
Do you call in late to work again?
Do you leave your child at home and hope somehow things improve tomorrow?
When school refusal has taken over your mornings, it can leave you feeling stuck, frustrated, exhausted, and alone. You may feel like nothing is working, and every day becomes a battle you do not know how to win.
School refusal parents, you need help — and you do not have to figure this out on your own.
Join us for School Refusal Camp, an 8-week class designed specifically for parents navigating the stress and chaos of school refusal behaviors. This class will help you step back, better understand the reasons behind your child’s refusal, and develop a practical, step-by-step parenting plan to respond more effectively.
During School Refusal Camp, parents will learn how to:
identify what is driving their child’s school refusal behaviors
respond with greater consistency and confidence
reduce power struggles and emotional reactivity in the morning
create a clear plan that encourages school attendance
help their child build the skills needed to stay in school all day, every day
Our goal is to help you move from feeling helpless and reactive to feeling calm, prepared, and purposeful.
Go to School Refusal Camp and make next school year the best school year ever.
TARGET AUDIENCE
School Refusal Camp is designed for parents of school-age children (ages 5–18) who are struggling with school attendance challenges and morning battles related to getting their child to school.
This class is a great fit for parents whose child demonstrates one or more of the following school refusal behaviors:
Morning negotiations or emotional outbursts about going to school, such as crying, meltdowns, pleading, or prolonged arguments before leaving the house.
Frequent tardiness or absenteeism, either missing the start of the school day or leaving school early due to difficulty staying the full day.
Recurring physical complaints such as headaches, stomachaches, nausea, dizziness, or other symptoms that often appear before school or during the school day and result in tardiness or missed school.
Refusal to attend school, including refusing to get in the car, refusing to enter the school building, or remaining at home instead of attending school.
This program is especially helpful for parents who feel stuck, exhausted, and unsure how to respond to their child’s school refusal behaviors and want a clear, structured plan for helping their child return to school consistently and successfully.
