Life comes at us from a lot of different directions. Sometimes things are going well, and other times life throws challenges our way that we didn’t expect. Stress at work, struggles at school, difficult relationships, and everyday pressures can make it feel like life is happening to us rather than something we have control over.

While we can’t always change the situations around us, we do have the ability to influence how we think about those situations and how we respond to them.

That’s where Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) comes in.

In this group, you’ll learn the basic principles of CBT and how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are all connected. Often, the way we interpret situations can intensify stress, anxiety, frustration, or discouragement. When we learn to recognize these patterns, we can begin to change them.

Throughout this group, participants will learn how to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative or distorted thoughts, and replace them with more balanced and productive ways of thinking. You’ll also learn practical strategies for managing emotions and making behavioral choices that move you toward your goals rather than away from them.

The goal of CBT is not to eliminate challenges or pretend that life is always easy. Instead, CBT teaches you how to respond more effectively when life throws curveballs—whether those challenges show up at work, at school, or at home.

By learning these skills, you can develop greater awareness of your thoughts, build emotional resilience, and gain practical tools for navigating everyday stress in a healthier and more productive way.
